Aluace Corporation terminated 80 employees!

MANILA, Philippines — The Federation of Free Workers (FFW) are outrage after the Aluace Corporation displaced 80 of its active union members due to End of Contract or ENDO.

FFW President Attorney Sonny Matula said the management of Aluace disregard their appeal to a mutual understanding and instead proceeded in terminating the union members of Aluace Employe’s Union (AEU) that took place on August 30, 2018 (Thursday).

ALUACE Corporation is established in 1994 and started its production in 1995 as a dynamic and innovative company that specializes in design, manufacturing, and fabrication of engineered extruded aluminum products. The company endeavors to provide quality products, excellent and efficient service to meet the selective demands of the industry. The establishment is equipped with modern and sophisticated technology, in-house engineering staff, mould/die designers, extrusion presses, anodizing process.

The mother federation of AEU filed a notice of strike (NOS) in the office of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB), but this was ignored by the top brass of Aluace Corporation and instead, they (management) resorted on illegal lockout last Saturday (1 September 2018).

The FFW-AEU officers and members have no other recourse but to defend the worker’s rights by staging a protest action to show their contentment and disappointment with the anti-union action of the Aluace management.

Sunday evening (2 September 2018), FFW-AEU started to picket in front of the Aluace Corporation building located at number 26 Villongco road east service road in Sucat, Muntinlupa City.

Matula said, they will never stop until the Aluace management recognized the right of the worker’s.

AEU is a newly organized union by FFW and they are committed in protecting the right and welfare of their constituents. CPM
